My role: Curation & programming, end-to-end event production, creative production for event collateral, event marketing & RSVP management, budget creation & management

Every October, Newlab opened its doors to the 3,000+ guests from the public every fall for an evening of member open studios, art and tech installations, food, drinks, and live music.

Programming has included:

  • Member Activations: full-body 3D scanning, micro-mobility test rides, robot arm theremin, olfactory VR headsets, off-grid energy fire pit s’mores stations, etc. 

  • Art installations: Emilie Baltz, RICO ROBO, Social Species, Jason Krugman, HOVVER, Black Public Media, etc.

  • Live music: COBU, Brooklyn Alliance Drumline, Fogo Azul, Xylofolks, Spencer Topel, etc.

  • Food: Otafuku, Ends Meat, Local Roots, Red Hook Lobster Pound, Home Frites, Kotti Berliner, Mister Softee, Solber Pupusas, etc.
